Great EIGHT!
The milage is really starting to accumulate now, today we ran 8 miles and got our first hill training. We ran a different route today too, usually we run towards venice along the boardwalk, but today we ran towards Santa Monica, past the pier, up the California incline and through neighborhoods. Coach Monica (our running instructor) taught us how to correctly run hills for distance running; shorten the stride and keep the body upright. It was fun to change the route, but with one major hill and lots of little hills, it felt like more than 8 miles.
Training is still going well though, I've been finding lots of new, fun, scenic routes to run during the week and it's a great time to just let the mind unwind after work.
