Vacation/ Run thru Hell

These past few weeks I was on vacation at Little Point Sable, which was a fantastic change of scenery. I kept up with the training, running on the dirt roads surrounding the cottage, and entering one race; the "Run Thru Hell" in Hell, MI

My dad and I woke up at 3am to make the 3-hour drive to Hell (funny, I never knew it was so close) for the 6:30 Check in. I ran the 10-mile race, which included a lot of hills, in 93 minutes- seven minutes short of my goal time of 100 minutes! After the race, Dad and I bought some souvenirs; a coffee mug that says “coffee from Hell” and a magnet that says; “I’ve been to Hell and back” and we stopped to take some pictures by the road signs indicating the distance to Hell.

I also had the opportunity to run with my big-little brother, Ben, on the day we dropped him off for college in Ohio- He and I ran a little around the campus of his new university after helping him settle in!

AIDS Fact:
More than 1700 children under the age of 15 years are infected with HIV every day.

FUNDRAISING TOTAL TO DATE:
$1,450.00 ($1,600 Still to GO!)

I really need YOUR HELP!
I can still accept donations through September-
Please help me run this marathon and help people with AIDS get the services they need from APLA!
